Oak trees spawn naturally on all Grassland and Forest island Biomes. It is somewhat uncommon compared to other grassland trees, usually making up only about 10% of them. It grows to be very large—forming a thick canopy and clumped branches. Oak trees also have very thick logs, which are difficult to cut for beginners. It is usually the first tree the player encounters which demands an upgrade from default tools.

Harvesting

Because oak trees are much harder to cut than either Poplar or Birch, it is suggested to use a tool combination better than Toddson's default tools. Despite is commonality, the tree is rather dense and requires an Aluminium or better saw to process its logs.

Uses

Because oak trees are so large, they are ideal for collecting large amounts of planks. At 11₭, though, it isn't particularly profitable—so it is preferred as a building material. Oak is considered a universal building color as its warm and neutral color compliments almost any other wood color. Oak is one of the best woods to use as fuel in furnaces since you can gather it in large amounts and has a decent burn time.
